Last month we posted a some links to a few triathlons that are great for those quite new to exercise, as well as those more experienced. Triathlon training (swim, cycle, run) or Duathlon training (run, cycle, and run) provide one of the best ways to get your body in shape fast.
The change from one cardiovascular exercise to another, means that you exercise at greater intensity and for longer periods. Another benefit is that you can do much of your training indoors if you prefer. In a Duathlon training program for example you might run on the treadmill for 10 minutes, cycle for 20 minutes and then run again for another 10 minutes. This is a great leg workout as you train your hamstrings (at the back of the legs) when you run, and your quads (at the front of the thigh) when you cycle. Plus in the beginning of your training you can use your time in between on the bike to work at a lower intensity and catch your breath, without stopping.
We can develop a fitness and nutrition program to suit your fitness levels which will help you reach your goals.
